30 Apr Flogging Molly Makes You Feel Irish
Irish folk punk at its finest, seven piece band Flogging Molly are set to perform at SunFest today. The group, that’s been going since 1997, started gaining recognition around 2002 with its album, “Drunken Lullabies.” The album peaked at no. 104 on Billboard charts but it was the band’s appearances at Vans Warped Tour and its songs popping up in video games and TV series that got the group noticed.
Despite Flogging Molly not releasing a new album since 2011, the group is arguably just as popular now as it was years before thanks to constant touring and an entire holiday where punks around the world play its CDs. Saint Patrick’s Day is such a big deal for Flogging Molly, the group hosted a cruise this year revolving around music and drinking.
But don’t take my word for it, check out what other SunFesters had to say:
Flogging Molly is performing at Sunfest & I’m going to get so leprechaun wasted you’d think I’m in Ireland.
