29 Apr On Your Radar: Friday
TGIF, SunFesters! Today marks the addition of our third stage, the JetBlue stage. There’s a lot going on, but that’s no reason to get overwhelmed. Here are three of today’s acts you don’t want to miss.
The Regulators
Put your lawn chairs away! Marketed as “classic rock you can dance to,” The Regulators are a massive (six members and up!) jam rock band who want to get you on your feet with its tribute to rock and roll. The Atlanta based group are known for its giant set list including songs by The Eagles, John Mellencamp, Aerosmith, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and more.

Watch The Duck
If soul music and dubstep had a baby, the genre would be called soulstep. That’s the genreWatch The Duck falls under, and if you listen to even one of its songs, you will instantly get it. The upbeat, Atlanta based trio — who are signed to Epic Records — formed in 2010. The group has since worked with acts including Pharrell Williams, Iggy Azalea, B.O.B, T.I., and more. Earlier this month, when WTD performed at the University of North Florida with fellow SunFest artist, Steve Aoki, they said “It’s not a show, it’s a party!” And that’s exactly what you can expect.

Bastille
Headlining the JetBlue stage is the English indie rock band, Bastille. You’ve probably heard the group without realizing it. The band’s infectious song “Pompeii” took over the charts in 2014 and still gets played to this day. Since then, the London based four-piece has been gaining fans internationally with its indie-emotional take on songs, including a Miley Cyrus “We Can’t Stop” cover that has over 16 million views on YouTube.
